Chris Davey
Chris has been the technical architect of a number of national scale systems. Chris has been with Accenture in Dublin for seven years, within the Technical Architecture group.
He is certified as a Master Technical Architect.
In his seventeen years experience, he has architected online and batch systems across a variety of technologies, working primarily in the financial and public sectors, and has a particular interest in high availability engineering and real-time processing.
Chris has been using Open Source software in development and production since the early 90’s. Chris has been involved in introducing Open Source products into large scale production use with a number of clients. Recently Chris has been responsible for the technical architecture and/or project management of a number of large scale custom built systems on Java and Spring, incorporating batch architecture and batch applications.
At the Irish Java Technologies Conference he will present an overview of batch processing in general, and a detailed introduction and demo of Spring Batch.
