Manik Sutarni is the lead developer on JBoss Cache - see him at the Irish Java Technologies Conference on January 7th & 8th 2009Manik Surtani is a core R&D engineer at JBoss and lead on JBoss Cache. He has a background in artificial intelligence and neural networks, a field he left behind when he moved from academic circles to the commercial world.

 

Since then, he's been working with Java-related technologies, first for a startup, focusing on knowledge management and information exchange, and then later as a tech lead for a large London-based consultancy building large J2EE and peer-to-peer technology e-commerce applications.

Surtani is a strong proponent of open source development methodologies, ethos, and collaborative processes.


What You'll Hear at Manik Sutarni's Presentation, JBoss Cache
On his first trip to the Irish Java Technologies Conference on January 7th & 8th 2009, In his session, he will demonstrate the concepts behind JBoss Cache and the features it offers for replicating data across a cluster.

He will also explain its use as building blocks for creating clustered server-side components and clustering for POJOs with Java 5 annotations.

Surtani will also talk about the API and give a brief overview of the architecture, architectural design patterns for building clusters using JBoss Cache.
