Paul Lynch & Ed Byrne Hosting 365 receive Deloitte Fast 50 Award

One of Ireland's leading web hosting and services companies, Hosting 365, has become the first company to sponsor  the 'Student Sponsor Scheme,' an initiative to broaden student attendance at the Irish Java Technologies Conference.

Hosting 365 have pledged the tickets to the Computer Science Faculty at Dublin City University where H365 Sales Director Paul Lynch studied.

The future of the Irish software industry is largely conditional on the numbers of Computer Science graduates emerging from third level education and here at the Irish 'x' Technology Conference Series we're very keen to encourage the participation of young under and post graduate researchers and graduate developers.

Speaking at the announcement, Paul Lynch of Hosting 365, (pictured here right of centre with Ed Byrne receiving a Deloitte Fast 50 Award recently) a former student of DCU said "We see the 'sponsor a student scheme' that the IrishDev people have initiated as a worthwhile cause, and as they have kept the attendance price for students to the bare bone, it is possible for any company who has a serious interest in the future of the Irish technology sector to support it."

Barry Alistair of IrishDev.com, the organisers of the IJTC 2008, added "Hosting 365 have been an advocate of the events we have run both this year and last. Clearly they take the education of the software industry extremely seriously and we're really pleased that they have stepped up to the plate and enabled six of Dublin City Universities computer science students to come to the conference in November.'

To be involved in the scheme, purchase the required number of tickets here and we'll get in touch within 24 hours to hear who you'd like to donate them to.
